+ About the artist
Lisa Quinn-Schofield
A successful interiors business in styling & interiors as well as motherhood has dominated Lisa’s time from 2012 -2019. It wasn’t until 2019 that Lisa decided to re-launch her career as a professional artist. Lisa is regularly commissioned to do original paintings for commercial & residential clients. Lisa is also currently creating ceramics and has a limited edition print collection. Lisa is currently planning her first solo exhibition and has some group exhibitions coming up.
Lisa Quinn-Schofield was born in 1975 & grew up living along the coast and surrounded by horses within her family which had a huge impact on her life creating a love for horses and animals.
Lisa naturally & intuitively has a close affiliation with the land, ocean and nature itself – its calming colours and rich textures are a constant source of inspiration for the creation of her art.
Lisa graduated in 1998 from Claremont School of Art (Tafe) & was taught by some of Australia’s most successful & accomplished artists completing her 3 year Diploma of Fine Art & Design majoring in painting.
From 1998 onwards, Lisa has been commissioned to do many paintings for residential, commercial & retail clients - see her CV for more details
Lisa went on to working in the surf industry working as a buyer for a chain of stores, then moved to sales and then on to design before deciding to do her art degree in 2003.
Lisa was offered a place at Curtin University to complete a degree BA (ART) in 2004 majoring in painting & experimental drawing & minoring in ceramics.
Through her university years and after graduating Lisa worked full time as head designer of the ladies division for a local surf company creating many collections of clothing, prints & accessories that were distributed internationally.
Lisa was also lucky enough to travel to the Milan Furniture Fair amongst other fairs around the world with her husband Trent who was at the time managing a local designer furniture company which Lisa also worked at casually. Lisa then went on to start a family with Trent dedicating her time to raising their two daughters full time before they attended school.
Lisa has always loved interiors but it was here in Milan that Lisa saw the fusion of ART, DESIGN & INTERIORS which sparked a real passion in her for doing something different. After completing further studies in Interiors, Lisa launched FEATHERHORSE STUDIO in 2012 with the vision of combining her love and passion for art & interiors.
